Safety Systems Recalibration

Several of the advanced driver's assistance systems (ADAS) on your car are connected directly to your windshield. Forward collision warning, automatic breaking, and lane keep assist are just a few. Forward facing cameras and sensors constantly monitor your vehicle's surroundings and communicate with other safety systems in order to enable these safety features to function properly. If your windshield is replaced, the cameras must be recalibrated correctly in order to maintain the accuracy of the ADAS features and the safety of everyone in the vehicle.

Not All Companies are the Same When it Comes to Recalibrations.

Make sure the company you choose is certified to perform recalibrations!

Dynamic Recalibration

Dynamic recalibration can be done on all domestic and some foreign made cars. It is done through driving the vehicle while it is connected to a tool called the Opti-Aim G-Scan. The vehicle's ADAS camera then reads the lines on the road in order to adjust back to manufacturer specifications. Our technician uses a tablet that will give them information during the process and will alert them when the test has concluded. The system then provides a certificate that shows the recalibration was successfully completed. We will then send that certificate to your insurance company.

Static Recalibration

Unlike Dynamic, Static Recalibration must be done in a controlled environment and requires the car to be parked. We will connect our Opti-Aim G Scan to a port under your steering column in order to access your car's internal computer. Instead of reading the lines on the road, the ADAS camera will read target boards that are specific to that car's manufacturer. Our technician uses a tablet that will give them information during the process and will alert them when the test has concluded. The system then provides a certificate that shows the recalibration was successfully completed. We will then send that certificate to your insurance company.
